Google has two accessibility applications that improve and facilitate the lives of people with hearing disabilities. These are Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier and, at the moment, they are only available for Android 5.0 or later versions.
So, in this article we will explain how these apps work and we will give you the direct links so you can download Live Transcribe and Sound Amplifier on your mobile totally free.
Live Transcribe – Google Instant Transcription Application
This app was created by Google to help people with hearing disabilities. It works with an automatic voice recognition technology. Thus, it is able to transcribe in writing everything it hears. This makes life much easier for these people, since it allows them to follow the conversations in real time, by being able to read what is said on the screen of their cell phone. In addition, it also allows them to write whatever they want on the screen, to respond to the other person.
Another point in favor of this wonderful app is that it is available in more than 70 languages and dialects. This makes it possible to help people from all over the world.
If you are concerned about your privacy, you should know that nothing that is transcribed on your phone will come from there. Nothing that is said or written is stored on any server.

Sound Amplifier – Google Sound Amplifier
This application has also been designed for people with hearing disabilities. This improves the sound to make it clearer and with less background noise to make it easier to hear.
The only requirement for this app to work is that the headphones are connected to the phone and the person listens through them.
Then, when using this app, the person can have a conversation with someone in a place with a lot of noise and listen to everything that is said perfectly through his/her headphones. What it does is increase the volume of the lower noise (the voice) and decrease the background noise.
On the other hand, Sound Amplifier also allows you to adjust the sound of each headset independently. In this way, you can turn up the volume on the left and lower the volume on the right, for example.
