Do you want to see the world in 3D? Well, with Google Earth you will be able to fly over the Earth as if you were in a helicopter. In addition, not only will you be able to see everything from the air, but you will be able to approach and get off at street level with the Street View option. What are you waiting for to download the Google Earth app?
Google Earth is a program created by Google that is free to use. This was launched in 2005 and eight years later it was already considered the best cartography platform.
As we have already mentioned, apart from satellite vision, this service also has Street View mode.
Street View mode allows us to see a place on the map as if we were walking down the street. Thus, it offers us a 360º view of everything that we would have around us if we were in this exact part of the earth.
To see it, the first thing you have to do is choose a point on the map and then click on the boy icon that you can see in the lower right corner of the screen.
This will cause blue lines to appear throughout the map. These are the ones you can see in Street View mode; if it is not in blue it is that this option is not available yet.
So, at this moment you just have to drag the boy to the exact point you want to see from the map.
When you have the boy just above the area you want to see, you just have to let him go to have a 360º view of that area. From this moment, you can go forward, backward, left and right; as if you were walking down the street.
The Moon, Mars and the Hubble telescope
In addition to seeing our planet, Google also offers us the option to discover how the moon, Mars and Hubble telescope are.
Google Moon shows us the sites that were trodden by the astronauts of the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. We are talking about Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins and Edwin Aldrin. Apart from that, we can also see the footprints left and their spaceships.
In Google Mars we can see the last images of the surface of this planet that have been taken by NASA. We can also see the scout vehicles.
In Google Sky we can see images taken by the Hubble satellite, which was put in orbit in 1990. In these, we can appreciate the immensity of the universe.
